[15:39:23] <kaduk@jabber.org/barnowl> If I'm hearing Werner correctly, the argument seems to be that the
only case where you need interoperability with S2K is for
symmetric-encrypted data that goes over the network, and if you are
doing that you should be using a full-entropy password anyway, so the
strength of s2k is not relevant for security
[15:40:07] <kaduk@jabber.org/barnowl> While I agree that you should be using full-entropy passwords anyway,
I do not have full confidence that there is actual widespread
compliance with that
[15:41:00] <sftcd-pidgin> I guess it's a fair question though if implementers will want to address that via a better s2k alg

[17:11:44] <kaduk@jabber.org/barnowl> Hi sftcd
[17:12:08] <sftcd-pidgin> hiya, trying out the matrix.org access to this room - not quite working right so sorry for noise:-)
[17:12:40] <kaduk@jabber.org/barnowl> +1 carry on and godspeed
[17:12:51] <sftcd-pidgin> or slower maybe:-)
[17:13:46] <sftcd> so messages from matrix.org -> jabber room are arriving ok
[17:13:54] <sftcd-pidgin> but not the other way around
