[10:19:30] <Jürgen Schönwälder_web_476> I assume this is an open room mike.
[10:19:53] <Lou Berger_web_272> @meetecho - can anything be done about the (minor) echo
[10:20:01] <Jeffrey Haas_web_315> The chairs are unable to mute the room mics.  Someone in the room could do so manually.
[10:20:18] <Charles Eckel_web_697> did that help? I moved a mic
[10:20:34] <Qin Wu_web_718> still exist
[10:20:35] <Jürgen Schönwälder_web_476> No change here.
[10:20:39] <Meetecho> We already reduced the capture gain quite a lot: the room there is quite large, and there is a different mixer configuration than in other rooms. We'll address it in the break. Hopefully it shouldn't be too unbearable for now!
[10:21:01] <Lou Berger_web_272> we can manage -- thank you!

[10:52:29] <Jeffrey Haas_web_315> I can expand at mic, but BFD has had a similar issue for RFC 9127-bis.  Trivial change, painful process
[10:53:50] <Jeffrey Haas_web_315> Given available time, chairs can let me know if you'd like me to share that comment.
[10:54:32] <Jeffrey Haas_web_315> https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-bfd-rfc9127-bis-02
[10:54:58] <Joel Jaeggli_web_817> can copy the coment to the minutes
[10:55:02] <Lou Berger_web_272> sorry missed this comment until now
[10:55:05] <Kent Watsen_web_663> @Jeff that goes to importance of the problem.  But what is the proposal?
[10:55:06] <Jeffrey Haas_web_315> I see Mahesh is in queue and will likely make similar comment.
[10:55:37] <Jeffrey Haas_web_315> Kent: "suck less?"

[10:56:27] <Jeffrey Haas_web_315> Short form is process is too heavy weight.

[11:02:23] <Balázs Lengyel_web_445> I don't seem to be able to modify the notes, so here are some comments also stated in voice:System:Balazs: Other SDOs like 3GPP and O-RAN are using system-created data nodes. Their design depends
on them in some cases. Clients are not allowed to create these list entries.
Until now the system is allowed to modify the running configuration.
If we would prohibit this that would be a major non-backwards-comptible change.
I object to that. It would also need a YANG 2.0 revision.
Even if we would prohibit the system to modify running, it would be possible
to work around it.
The system instantiates an onboard client to do the changes AND the system
prohibits the change for other clients.
However this is just a more complicated way of stating that the system itself
modifies running; we gain nothing but make the world more complicated.
While I agree that system-created data nodes can be problematic sometimes it
is a fact of lie, so we should not remove it.
Immutable:3 potential use-cases for immutable:
- invariant: once a leaf is created it cannot be changed
- capabilities that are created by the systems and client cannot modify them.
Is this better served by immutable or system data?
- Immutable NACM rules that must stay in place to protect some parts of the
configuration from any modification
