[13:23:26] <Sean Leonard> hearing is okay
[13:23:52] <Barry Leiba> If you can't talk through Meetecho, prefix your comment here with "MIC", and I'll speak for ya.
[13:24:42] Klensin joins the room

[13:32:26] <Sean Leonard> (Pre-Mic): I have some complaints and feature suggestions about Meetecho + IETF. Where is the appropriate IETF venue to discuss these? (Here, plenary, or somewhere else?)
[13:34:05] Leslie Daigle joins the room
[13:34:45] <Barry Leiba> You can contact the Meetecho people.  You can mention it on the IETF main list.  I thought there was also a "remote participation" discussion list.  Checking...

[13:35:21] <Meetecho> We definitely welcome feedback via mail!
[13:36:00] <Klensin> @Barry, Sean: vmeet@ietf.org is the relevant mailing list AFAIK
[13:37:09] <Sean Leonard> ok. i will plan on mentioning those in the plenary session, plus the mailing list (which i'll subscribe to now). thanks
[13:40:55] <Klensin> @Sean: For bug or misfeature stuff, I've found the Meetecho people very responsive (use the contact info on their IETF web page).   If you are talking about, e.g., major changes in direction or tradeoffs, I'd prefer to see the discussion on a public list (e.g., vmeet), but that is just my opinion.
[13:42:53] <Sean Leonard> @Klensin: for the points, I'd prefer to express them in a public venue, since others can chime in as to whether they agree they are useful/needed IETF features. Accordingly, vmeet etc. sounds good.

[13:53:22] <Sean Leonard> Mic: also note that travel barriers can change frequently...and existing travel barriers at the time of contracting may go away by the time of the meeting (e.g., the US-Argentine entry fee/tax). Can't predict reliably. Consider it, mention that it can change either way. I agree that it depends how close we are to the meeting. text to that effect is good

[14:18:46] <Sean Leonard> (Non-mic) is this mic time for this draft/topic? or still just taking general questions?
[14:19:29] <Barry Leiba> No "still"; we were never taking general questions.
[14:19:41] <Barry Leiba> We're talking specifically about Jordi's document now.
[14:19:47] <Sean Leonard> ok
[14:19:53] <Sean Leonard> Mic: I would like to see more network hotel considerations. Right now I understand that ietf-hotel access is mandatory only for the primary meeting hotel. Lots of people end up at secondary hotels. I understand there are costs to setting this up; what are the costs per hotel, exactly? TEXT PROPOSAL: "Access to the IETF network MUST be seriously attempted at at least one secondary hotel, and SHOULD be attempted for at least one additional secondary hotel." Additional TEXT PROPOSAL: "The hotel page for the IETF meeting SHALL be updated promptly with IETF network access for that hotel." Additional TEXT PROPOSAL: "Cost estimating for providing such hotel access in future meetings is to be tracked and made available."

[14:23:33] <Sean Leonard> Mic: @Pete + general: I agree that I also don't know which document it should go in.
[14:23:55] <Sean Leonard> (and whether it's in-charter, etc.)
[14:25:58] <Barry Leiba> Sean, can we skip the mic on that one?
[14:26:05] <Barry Leiba> Pete's trying to wrap up
[14:26:30] Leslie Daigle leaves the room
[14:26:55] <Sean Leonard> (oops sorry, thanks for putting it on-mic)

[14:29:42] Kyle Rose leaves the room
[14:30:23] <Klensin> Barry... Yes, exactly.   A sentence in the current selection document about meeting network requirements would be useful.  Where that information is put is a separate question and, if anything goes in the RFC Series, it better be parameterized with the parameters in something more dynamic.
[14:30:51] <Klensin> (no need to take to mic -- most of it has been said already)
[14:31:53] <Barry Leiba> Adios, all.
