[07:27:22] <Barry Leiba> I've been talking on the mic, and no one's responding.  Can y'all hear us?
[07:27:28] yuki goto joins the room
[07:27:33] <Tim Draegen> Heyo!  Yes, you're on
[07:27:58] Jim Fenton joins the room
[07:29:59] <Kurt Andersen> Hi all, will get started shortly
[07:30:19] <Tim Draegen> It's true
[07:31:44] Murray Kucherawy joins the room
[07:32:01] <Murray Kucherawy> Please say "mic:" for things that need to be said at the microphone.
[07:33:41] <Tim Draegen> can't hear audience, FWIW
[07:39:18] Marco Pizzoli joins the room
[07:40:50] <Tim Draegen> mic: is it useful to share list of bouncing list addresses after arc-enabled mailman is published?
[07:45:36] <Jim Fenton> Please identify people at microphone
[07:45:59] <Murray Kucherawy> jim: ack
[07:45:59] <Murray Kucherawy> Tim: standby
[07:46:11] <Murray Kucherawy> window was obscured, sorry
[07:47:10] <Tim Draegen> np, just curious
[07:47:23] <Murray Kucherawy> Tim: we'll come back to it
[07:53:46] Simon Pietro Romano joins the room
[07:54:05] netwerkeddude@gmail.com joins the room
[07:54:23] <netwerkeddude@gmail.com> "this" is the ARC draft ?
[07:54:28] <Murray Kucherawy> yes
[07:58:40] <Jim Fenton> On the other hand, there are those that think any RFC is a standard (Sen. Wyden's staff most recently)
[07:59:00] <Murray Kucherawy> Jim: yeah that's what i plan to say at the queue
[08:00:30] <Murray Kucherawy> dave in the queue after me
[08:01:03] Tim Draegen leaves the room
[08:01:14] Tim Draegen joins the room
[08:01:57] John Levine joins the room
[08:03:21] <Dave Crocker> I am supposedly in the queue.
[08:03:30] <Meetecho> Dave Crocker: you are :)
[08:10:04] <Murray Kucherawy> Dave: will put you back on the mic after Bron
[08:13:37] <Tim Draegen> Operationally email is vast. It makes sense to me to put out a protocol and ask for feedback in an experimental context
[08:20:30] Satoru Kanno joins the room
[08:22:40] <Kurt Andersen> tim: ack to order of reporting details...
[08:22:54] <Murray Kucherawy> Is there a thread on the list already about per-hop reporting?
[08:24:39] <Kurt Andersen> Murray: no, but it is the way that current DMARC reporting would have it work
[08:25:02] <Murray Kucherawy> Kurt: Yeah, that needs a closer look.  It's a DDoS vector in its simplest form.
[08:25:15] <Kurt Andersen> not doing that would require a mediator be self-conscious about being a mediator and suppress their normal DMARC report
[08:26:48] <Jim Fenton> mic: Given that DMARC has significant operational issues (which is why ARC exists, right?), shouldn't we be discussing an ARC operational discussion instead?
[08:27:01] <Murray Kucherawy> Jim: ack
[08:32:10] <Jim Fenton> I'd be interested in seeing a split between the reporting and policy aspects of DMARC (make them separate documents).
[08:33:39] Murray Kucherawy leaves the room
[08:33:44] <Jim Fenton> thanks!
[08:33:51] Juri Haberland leaves the room
[08:33:55] <Kurt Andersen> Jim: that scares me because it makes it easier for people to claim that they have done their job without doing the reporting part
[08:34:19] John Levine leaves the room
[08:34:26] Simon Pietro Romano leaves the room
[08:34:34] <Jim Fenton> As it stands, when someone says they have implemented DMARC, I'm not sure whether they're talking about reporting or policy or both
[08:34:38] Dave Crocker leaves the room
[08:35:05] Meetecho leaves the room
[08:35:06] <Jim Fenton> (moving to DCRUP room)
